That’s the feeling I had as a US Air Force fighter pilot. I was a key member of an elite team doing meaningful, challenging work. I owned my work, I was accountable to my team, and we were—and still are—the best in the world.

Total Engagement is a results-oriented leadership system inspired by military jet pilot training, where “the only way to learn to fly a jet is to fly a jet.” Great leadership creates engaged, productive teams, so we train leaders from the team’s perspective using three integrated frameworks.
PILOT is leadership in concept. It teaches the core principles of credible, competent leadership.
VAST is leadership in context. It’s a business design framework that shows the team what they’re doing and why it matters—creating clarity, alignment, and purpose.
FLITE is leadership in practice. It’s an iterative, interactive execution framework where you learn to lead by actually leading.
Engagement isn’t an HR metric, it’s an emotion…and an experience. It’s purpose, pride, and respect. It’s being physically, mentally, and emotionally immersed in your work.
